I cried a thousand tears,

The earth took a breath,

I cried a thousand tears, my soul wept,

I cried for you, I cried for me, I cried unceasingly.

I cried a distance beyond the stars

I cried into the depths of the sea,

almost not knowing, what was to be.

I cried an ocean with hidden layers,

almost touching despair.

I cried in my own pain,

Each tear had a story,

fragile and broken.

Each tear I knew by its special name

it was unspoken,

living in my pain.

I cried without seeing an end

my tears were my only true friend.

I cried in the poverty of my wounded soul,

you were not there,

I had to let you go,

between two pages, the journey remains untold.

How would I know, if I didn’t let you go.
